Curve 8520 Connection to pc prob
 

Ok, I bought a second hand curve 8520 which is running v4.6.1.272 so im trying to update it, i've connected it to my pc (Windows 7) and it will start charging the phone but the pc will not recognise it. I have tried everything google had to throw at me! mass storage on, try update through the phone etc...but nothing is working! I then connected my sisters phone which is the exact same phone to my pc and it worked! so why dont mine? does anyone know any solution? i'm beginning to think the phone store put some kind of block on it from being updated? ive tried literally everything! anyone else had the same problem or know a solution? :cry:

Connect it to BB desktop software and see what happen and also have you used the same usb cable for your sister's phone.

Thank you for the reply. We use the same cable, the pc just does not recognise my phone for some reason, do you think its anything to do with application permissions or something like that?
