Upgrade to OS 7.1 on Curve 9360
Gave my son a new Curve 9360 for Xmas.He would like to upgrade the OS to 7.1.
On my Bold I always did updates by following the usual procedure (delete vendor.xml, launch apploader, etc....) Point is, he hasn't installed Desktop Manager on his PC yet. How is the Apploader folder created ? Thru DM installation ? In other words, will he need to install DM before he can do an OS upgrade ? Thanks. |

Unable to Upgrade to OS 7.1 on my Curve 9360
My 9360 is currently running 7.0 Bundle 2055 (v7.0.0.464 Platform 8.0.0.464).
I'd like to upgrade to v7.1 so I can test NFC. However, I don't seem to be able to do this as I did with previous Blackberry models / OS's. Step 1: I downloaded "9360AllLang_PBr7.1.0_rel722_PL9.6.0.26_A7.1.0.219 _Bell_Mobility_Inc.exe" using a link I found on this site. Note: My PC's operating system is Win7 Step 2: Ran the program after it downloaded. When this program finished, it told me to reboot my PC, which I did. Step 4: Deleted "vendor.xml" from C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader Step 5: Ran Loader.exe from the same folder Loader program showed me all my installed apps, but said "No actions are required" What's happening? |
Re: Upgrade to OS 7.1 on Curve 9360
There are at least 2 vendor.xml files that need to be deleted in 7.1. Make sure you get ALL of them.
