Blackberry won't connect to the wifi
 

Hi there

I am having this problem with connecting my wifi with my blackberry curve 8520. My wifi is on, and it is all set up on my blackberry. Im connecting to the correct one, and it was all working until yesterday. It has the grey bar right now, but when I go to manage connections (Wi-Fi) it says it's connected with 2 bars. I have performed the battery pull, and set the wifi back up, but nothing, just a grey light still. The Wi-Fi is working perfect as well.

any ideas ??

Does your carrier require that you have a Blackberry data plan before sending the WiFi service book? Do you have that specific BB data plan/add on?

Most carriers are now requiring that you have a BlackBerry data plan on your account, even to use wifi. The BlackBerry itself needs to be able to authenticate itself to the RIM infrastructure to get data, even if the data comes over wife.
