email - I have missed something
I have double and triple checked all my settings but when I open an email embedded pictures, etc are not shown. I am running BIS.
Enable HTML email : Yes Download images automatically : Yes I have queried the forum and am either too dumb to recognize the answer, asked the question the wrong way or it's not here. Suggestions? |
I do not know if this will fix this issues that you are having, but doing this will not hurt--Log into your BIS account https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw&locale=en (for Verizon) and hit "send service books." This may clear up your problem. If you are getting e-mails that have a "place holder" for the pictures and you have to select "get image" from the menu, this may just be normal and not "fixable." Good luck.

Thanks. Resent service books and no change. Maybe just the way it is.

Mine is the same. So what does the Download Images Automatically function actually DO?

You have to request images to be downloaded on each individual email. With my Tour on Sprint, set to automatically download images, I do get some embedded images without asking. But attachments, not embedded, require a case-by-case manual download.

Upgrade to the in O/S from your respective cell providers website

This is so annoying.
I can't open picture attachments on either my hotmail or gmail account. I'm tierd of this tour already. |

You have to use "get images" to get those that are hosted somewhere, as is the case with almost every email you get from a company, etc. If you take an email apart, you'll see those images are brought in from somewhere with links and aren't really in the mail. Most email programs do the same thing anyway, so you aren't missing anything with the phone. |
There is also a download size limit, that prevents all images/attachments from auto-downloading
