Problem with BBmaps and internal GPS

CBR: I have used OS 4.2 / 4.5.0.10 and .18 and i never had problems with BBmaps - it always communicated fine with the internal GPS (also 8310 like you) and was very accurate and relatively fast. Since your GPS is working and Gmaps can also acquire sats I would recommend that you first uninstall BBmaps from your device, then reboot and then reinstall it from: http://www.blackberry.com/devicesoft...y.do?code=maps from your cell's browser. Finally, i believe that BBmaps comes as part of the 4.5.0.10 that you downloaded and installed. Could that installation file have a problem? Is all else fails .. just try to download another copy of that OS and reinstall it. Then wipe and install again .. :? That's all i can think off right now. |
there is always downgrading your OS to an approved official release and seeing if that works

true that .. but i never had any problems with BBmaps (same phone and same carrier as CBR) and ANY OS for that matter .. weird ?! :???:
(and from what he is saying it is not the gps .. so it must be the software) |
same phone on the same carrier? Tmobile supports BBmaps, AT&T doesnt
