Facebook upgrade issues
 

Hi all
I'm new here so hello!

My issue is that I upgraded to the next version of Facebook today after receiving a request to do so. Since I did it I'm unable to use any of the icons across the top of screen I.e. profile, messages etc. also, the menu key wont work when I'm logged in.

This new version is 4.1.0.19

I also get this message "uncaught exception. Java.lang.noclassdeffound error"

I've a blackberry bold 9780 and I've no idea what's going on!

Hi Debbie,

Welcome to the forum.

Have you tried pulling your battery out of your device for a minute and then placing back in? This sometimes corrects the issue. In this case I would delete the application and try reinstalling. If that doesn't work, I would roll back to the previous version.

Thanks for this, yeah the battery pull didn't work so I'll go back to the old version. How do I know what my operating system is so I can download the right version?

You can type "myver" without the quotes in a BBM message/Notes and press space.

If you have universal search enabled you can just type "version" without the quotes from the homescreen and then select the Options Icon.

ohh i have z 10 and i didn't face this kind of problem and my uncle is using bold 9780 and he didn't face this problem too
