Getting images from e-mails: stupid "Downloading internet images..." message box

Hi guys. I have a BB9000 with v.4.6.0.150.

Every time I select "Get Images" from an html email message I get the message box "Downloading internet images can expose your address. Continue?"

Is there any way to disable this annoying message?

Thanks in advance.

Nope. That is normal.

I'm experiencing the same problem/issue. Is there a way to set this setting to default? Or create a whitelist for e-mail senders?

So to confirm, there's no way to edit the message application and/or browser permissionings to prevent this message box? Thx!

Hi,

There is another thread on here covering this but in short you cant disable it but the bold does learn so if you ok an image download from say, xyz, the next time you get an email from xyz the images will be automatically downloaded..

cheers

Yes, and this is not only true for the Bold, but HTML across the board on the BB. I know that if a week later I get another newsletter from the same company, images that were in the previous email which were visible will be visible in the new email as well.

makes no sense

ok. So.. this makes no sense to me:
  1. enable HTML email: yes
  2. download images automatically: yes

Then WHY do I have to 'get images' all the time?

What the heck is 'download images automatically' there for if i never automatically gets the images?

Download automatically refers to images that are imbedded in the email.
The message you get is for images that are links to the internet. It's a security thing.
