WiFi Hotspot if your carrier allows it - all depends on which plans you have active.

Re: Leaked OS 7.1.0.74 for the 9900
Most OS 7 devices should have a leaked OS by the end of the day today. They have already leaked 7.1.0.115 as well (Again, for most devices)
When I get links I will post. |

I've been using 7.1 now for a week but what I noticed is that my BlackBerry Bridge no longer works.
Has any one else notice this issue? |

Re: Leaked OS 7.1.0.74 for the 9900
Can this be loaded on 9930?
|
Re: Leaked OS 7.1.0.74 for the 9900
No. The OS is device specific. If you have a 9930, then you need a 9930 OS.
And please update your profie to show the model number, not name, of your current device - it currently shows "Torch". |
Re: Leaked OS 7.1.0.74 for the 9900
So after seeing that 7.1 dropped, I purchased a 9900. I downloaded 7.1.0.74. I couldn't get it to load. I saw on the 9810 thread that .540 was needed before you could load 7.1. I downloaded 540, installed it. However, I still can't get 7.1 to install...
Here is what I am doing: Add remove programs, and remove all installed versions install 7.1 on the pc delete vendor.xml plug in bb 9900 run loader The only option that comes up is to install wireless music sync. Any ideas? Without 7.1, I can't use this phone as I depend on wifi calling at my location. Thanks in advance. |
Re: Leaked OS 7.1.0.74 for the 9900
Saw this issue before. You need to uninstall the DM and all RIM software the PC - reload the DM and 7.1, reboot and you'll be able to load 7.1 That's all you need to do!

Re: Leaked OS 7.1.0.74 for the 9900
Steve. Thanks for the suggestions. I did try all of those. In the end I found out that to load 7.1, you have to have the SIM card installed.
