? about 1st bb, don't bite
hello, i live in toronto and i have a bb flip 8220(still locked to rogers wireless) with a prepaid SIM card(also rogers).
i am trying to use the wi-fi with my home connection. it seems to locate the connection and connect, but when i try to open the browser it say it cannot connect? does it matter what router i have? i have an N router(i think) and it connects with my psp just fine. i tried tech support and they blew me off saying it is something wrong with my home network(meaning my router). but he said it should be possible to connect even though i do not have a data plan. can somebody PLEASE help me with this? they also said the opera browser would not work because it is a third party company. So once again please help, not flame, me. i actually tried the search feature but i got confused with the tech terms and acronyms. thank you in advance. |
Through WiFi you can connect to the Internet without a data plan through a wireless access point (a router at home, in a coffee shop, etc.) when it is in range.

thanks. but i actually figured it out. i had to click "login to hotspot" in the wi-fi connection/setup menu. i got opera working and my blackberry browser. so disregard this post.
