hi guys,

today i saw this icon, its not related to appworld and everything i have downloaded is up to date. it also is not blackberry protect as that has a shied icon.

sorry the pic is blurry, the icon is a circle with an arrow running through it. no signature bb red star next to it.

im running 6.0.0.526 on my 9800.

any help would be appreciated.

sent from my playbook

Re: what is this icon?

Sounds, and looks, like an app upgrade notification. I can't explain why app world doesn't show the upgrade availability.

Open app world and hold alt key while typing RST. App world should then close. Open it again and sign in with your BlackBerry I'd. See if the upgrade availability shows after you do that.

EDIT: Another thought. Do you normally see upgrade alerts in your messages app as well? Do you see one there now, or not.

And another thought...Is this a case of you having upgraded an app and the alert did not clear? Or did this alert appear well after the last time you did an app upgrade?

It is indeed app world update icon.
If a battery pull doesnt get rid of it, look in your messages folder, for a message about an app world update.

I meant that alt-rst might cause the upgrade alert to appear in app world after you log in again.

If you indeed are up to date on app versions, then MidnightDraven's suggestion to do a battery pull is a good one. And if you find an upgrade notice in your message folder, just delete it. (Usually the notice in the message folder gets deleted automatically when you upgrade he app; and sometimes not.)
