Excellent, if memory serves me correct the 7280 was launched in Europe first and followed shortly in North America with ATT/TMo/Cingular/Rogers etc. Looks like we could see the BB 7290 for the X-Mas season.

I understand that Rim and Cingular have also announced the launch of the 7290 in North America, to be available in October. Does anyone have a fix on when more precisely we'll be able to oder these from Cingular? I understand Cingular will sell the 7290 at $150, with a two year fix. Sweet price! What will the 7289s go for now, $99?

Sorry, I meant the 7230s

We got the 7230 first, the 7280 didn't come till after the 7230 and shortlived 7210 came out in the states.

Depending on contract length, they could even end up being free, certainly a number of other carriers around the world have already got that agressive with their pricing and on one of their tariffs vodafone is even letting people get the 7100 for free from launch.
