Unlocked Tour without browser
 

Hey folks,

I have a Verizon Tour that I unlocked to use on my overseas trip with foreign GSM network. I didn't unlock through Verizon - used a website like my other phones. Problem I'm having is that after inserting a foreign carrier's SIM I no longer have a browser icon on my home screen, but I can open it using the application switcher. However, it tells me that my device does not have any browser configuration service book entries.

I've gotten around the browser issue by installing OperaMini... gets me by, and thank god my Gmail app works fine too, but no other application. Seems like they depend on the missing browser.

Does any of you gurus know a way to get the service books pushed without having access to the carrier (Verizon)?

Nope. You need books from a gsm carrier. The books for cdma and gsm afe different I believe
