Unable to open .doc .xls and .ppt attachments
 

Hi All,

I have one BB device BB Curve 8900 connected to BES server. What is my problem! I'm not able to save attachments with extension .doc, xls, .ppt to the device memory (or memory card).

When I open an attachment (for example .xls) it opens and I press Menu Key and I don't have option Download Attachment. After I've contacted RIM they told me that I have light version of the BES server which doesn't support this feature. :-(

Then I tried to use "Documents To Go Premium Edition version 2". I'm now able to edit documents that I already have on my device but not able to edit attachments.
My question is: Is it possible to setup Document To Go Premium Edition to be default application when I open .doc, .xls or .ppt attachments? If this is possible the I would be also able to save attachment to device memory.

P.S. I'm not sure if I posted in correct discussion group....if not please admin move it to the right one...

Hi all,

I've found out that we have simplified version of BES server so called BPS (Blackberry Professional Server) (n) and that's way I'm not able to use Doc's to Go to open xls, doc and ppt Attachments) directly from email.

I found more details on this forum but not able to post url's as I don't have more then 10 posts....
