Re: RIM suing Kik
I'd like to know the basis for their lawsuit. First they allowed it in the App Store, then yanked it. Doesn't it have to go thru some sort of review before it can be put in the App Store?
What's different between Kik and Pingchat and other similar multi-platform applications? |
Re: RIM suing Kik
WhatsApp is better anyway, IMO.

Re: RIM suing Kik
I'm thinking (since the head of Kik was a former RIM employee, and he might have even been on the BBMessenger development team -- I can't recall exactly, so I don't want to impugn him), that there must have been some proprietary piece of a RIM patent used in Kik for the push delivery or instant communication Kik was good at.
But, I really don't know. All that is guessing and putting together little puzzle pieces I have read here and there. |

To add to it, they have supposedly been kicked out of the Accelerator Center. I can almost guarantee this company is done.
