Blackberry OS 4.0 Beta frustrations
 

Just a quick vent, but it seems ridiculously hard to come across the beta 4.0.X for download anywhere. I usually consider myself pretty good at finding things on the net, but this one has eluded me for months. Why is this?

Why is it such a hard thing to come by? A beta of a free piece of software doesn't sound like something that would need to be locked down with lock and key. Nor something that would be horded by the people that have come across it. It would seem to me that the more people, hardware, and situations for using it you put through the tests the better the end result will be when it is released.

Maybe I am just looking at it all wrong, but I would really like any feedback from people that might explain this.

I think it's the fact that to get ahold of the beta legally, you have to sign a NDA with RIM assuring them you won't let it out to anyone and everyone.

Yea I can't find it either so I'm in the same boat as you...
But I really want the 4.0 server software to come out so I'm not too upset about not finding the handheld software.
