New owner of a Bold 9650

Hi all,

First off, I hope I'm posting this in the right area. I didn't think the 9700 forum would be the right one for me?

If I may, a few questions. I already have the latest Desktop Manager on my laptop and I'm assuming I don't have to reinstall that. Since I'm going from the Curve to the Bold, should I use the "switch devices" option to move things over? Verizon already moved over my contacts. Also for Facebook Mobile and Twitter Mobile, should I be able to access my existing accounts? I have it set up using my AT&T Blackberry address to sign in. I'm assuming I'll have to change that?

Hope this all makes sense and would appreciate any other thoughts or tips about this model.

Thanks!
Jennifer

No, the 9600 series is the right forum.
Hopefully a mod will move this.

Yes, switch device wizard.
Yes. You'll have to change them.

No need to reinstall desktop manager.

If you run the switch device wizard it will overwite all you data like calendar and contacts, messages, and so forth. If that was already moved for you, you may want to leave it alone.

That old carrier's BIS address is gone, or at least that's what I gather from your account of things. When you change your login email account at your various sites and services, use a conventional email address (not the carrier address)... One you can access from anywhere any time, an not dependent on the BlackBerry and BIS.

The only thing Verizon employee moved was my contacts so I still need to move everything else. Thanks!
