Two problems with 8900
 

Hi fellow bb owners,
My wife's 8900 started acting up, first of all the scroll ball keeps sticking whenever I try to scroll down, i have put some pressure on the ball (sort of half-way press) so I can scroll it down. I see that this ball is not easy to remove like we could in 8300 so does anyone have any suggestions?

Second problem is the connection/reception, I find the phone in SOS mode in odd situations, it may be sitting in same spot and it would go to SOS only and then go back to have full bars. Due to that I keep wifi on and luckily use UMA but it is annoying. I am running 5.0.0.822.

I know, but I wanted to try and salvage this and maybe give it to my cousin.. Either way I still have to make this usable until I buy one, UMA works until then. I was also surprised to see the out of contract Curves (like 9300) are still very expensive. I am checking CL, maybe I can score a lightly used one. :)

I am holding my breath for BB10 to replace my own 9700...

I couldn't find a good seller. I am checking cowboom, at least they have a good warranty, and I am checking CL locals. I hate T-Mobile's new pricing...
