View PDF Files?
 

Been meaning to ask this for a long time, finally remembered...

For some reason I don't seem to recall my 9000 Bold being unable to read PDF's, ...but I am correct, right, that the Torch is unable to view PDF files?

Are the only apps RepliGo Reader and Beam Reader PDF Viewer that will read PDF's? Any free apps that will read them?

If you send them to the device via email, the email attachment service will open them.

That's what I remember with my Bold.

But this is how I first encountered and still do encounter my Torch saying to me upon opening a pdf attachment from an email:

"This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device."

And this is what I've enountered with every PDF file via an email...

I see in another, closed thread "Acrobat Reader" that there is supposed to be a native reader to the BB, but I don't see right off the app that would do that?...

I've never had a BB, either my torch or my 9000, tell me I couldn't open a PDF.

Well, may have all been due to the type of pdf file settings that I was saving documents to, lol ;P Problem seems to be corrected, YAY!

But I can only view it as an attachment from an email. Cannot save it to the device and then open it. From the few things I read here in the forums, opening a pdf from an email (which I guess converts it into a jpg to view) but not being able to open a pdf file from the device, is a stock limitation to BB. Right? Anyone can say anything differently?

Get a native PDF reader like Beamreader. I use Beamsuite as it lets me print them to my BT printer.

Try this "http://view.samurajdata.se/", I never tried it but read it works.
