BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet Price Rumors
Blackberry PlayBook can play most of the newer video formats and also has a microUSB connection which will let you to connect external devices or hard drives.
The BlackBerry Playbook may come available in at $1000 or even more costly. This may appear somewhat excessive to the typical customer, but do not neglect that the PlayBook includes some specifications which aren’t available in the market at the moment. The Playbook has been a subject of speculation for months now, with many online users referring to it as the “Blackpad,” until RIM announced the device yesterday afternoon. Several other large smart phone makers have similar devices planned for the beginning of 2011 as well. Source: BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet Price Rumors |
Genuine rumors or made up rumors?

The cost here might be too much but their were lots of rumors today about Blackberry Price. 1000$ sounds too much to me

I find this hard to believe given your recent posts of nonsense. Your posts of having Facebook on your 7100 delete your contacts and so forth.

$1000????? C'mon!!! I read on several sites it will cheaper than the iPad's $499 price. I bet ya it will be $299 or $399. $1000, no chance at all!!
|
Still the topic is worth discussing i also believe the price should be somewhere near 500$
|
That sounds like tacit acknowledgment that he is shilling.

$1000 ye as if that will happen. I think a usb 3.0 will be a great idea.
|
I bet the device will be around $500. I can't picture RIM moving far away from the iPAD pricing, especially if the initial devices are non 3G

Can the playbook be used in making phone calls???

NO, not the early version anyway |
$499 is what I'm guessing. Generally, the way I see it is the PlayBook has to compete with netbooks, not the ipad or the other tablets coming on the market. But as I say, I'm terrible at these predictions and judgements.
|
The specs that the Playbook has are only about the specs that a netbook pc has and they sell for in the price range of about $300 (Canadian dollars), give or take a few bucks. I really can't see the Playbook being sold for even close to $1000. It would be better for RIM's sales if they priced it at about the same and maybe even slightly cheaper than the ipad. I know its sad that most devices now get compared to an apple product but if they're not as competitive as possible on their price point they're going to shoot themselves in the foot so to speak.

It appears the OP has been busy on a lot of forums and managed to get himself banned on some. Portions of his first post in this thread are copy and paste jobs.

1000 is justifiable if it can connect to my toaster, microwave and garage door. otherwise I think it will be below 500.

If RIM has any hope of selling more than 4 or 5 of them they had better price it inline with iPad prices. As a late comer to the tablet game perhaps they should attempt to undercut the iPad.
|
Cost doesn't matter to me. Whenever it comes out (I'm still annoyed it's months away) I'm pretty sure my work will receive a bunch for free.
Yay! |
