ZombieBerry if you want to do a more proper thread with the full download instructions, I have no problem with that. It would have a better chance of getting "stuck" at the top of the 9900 Series Discussion.

Re: Latest OS Official for 9900 7.1.0.284

It's all good. As long as whoever is looking can download it easily. I think there was a screw up with some carriers and the release of their official builds. I have seen some screen shots of update notifications (OTA and DM), and proof that they were downloaded, but the links went nowhere. Bell, Telus, SaskTel and SK Telekom all had the OS available, then pulled it soon after posting, some T-Mobile users were having service book issues with the newest update. I'll just wait for the next leak thanks...LoL

Same here - no issues at all more than any other 7.1 build...

any feedback on battery life on this OS?

Re: Latest OS Official for 9900 7.1.0.284

There's so much talk about battery life changes from OS to OS...and AFAIC...it does not change by any perceptible percentage -

This OS - like most others released previously, has no major improvements as far as battery. I don't expect you will EVER see battery life get better or worse through the life of the 99XX...

Hi,

Does this one have the FM radio in it, others i have tried do not have the radio app.

Thanks.

Re: Latest OS Official for 9900 7.1.0.284

99xx does not have an FM radio and no update will enable it. The hardware is simply not present. Only the 9360/80 have it.

Are there any release notes describing the differences in this software from 7.1.0.267? My carrier just released .267 and I'm wondering if I should go with it or the newer software.

Resend service books and see if that works.

I had same problem, and similar with other apps. Resending service books didn't work at first, but did later. For others who had the problem it corrected on its own in some cases, and for others service books did it.

Re: Latest OS Official for 9900 7.1.0.284

That was best idea I had.

You could try removing it and installing it again. Probably you already did. When I had the problem removing and reinstalling didn't fix it.

Re: Latest OS Official for 9900 7.1.0.284

I'm going to ask an obvious question here -

Franglish - are you on a BES by any chance?

BB Protect will NOT work if you are...because the BES has most of that functionality already built in.
