Really need some help... double envelope message icon?

I have a BB 8703e through work. I have always seen the envelope icon in the upper left corner with a number indicating how many unread messages I have... (i.e.: 5 <envelope icon>). Just yesterday, I noticed that this envelope is always showing as a double envelope (there is an envelope with another envelope on top of it, layered) with the number of unread messages I have. This icon is brand new, I've never seen it before and I can't figure out what it means or stands for. Anyone know what this icon indicates? Thank you!

Not sure either, unless it is an SMS message or such.

Either way, go to Messages, scroll the to top Date, and click to Mark Prior Open and it should clear it.

Sounds like a Service Book.
Go to Options / Advanced / Service books and accept the one Service Book.

The double envelope icon is not in the message list... it is showing in the top left hand corner of the screen indicating that I have a message to look at. But, instead of it showing as a single envelope like it was, now it is showing as a stacked/layered double envelope, as if I have multiple messages (even when I only have 1). Could this be an indication that my SMS messages are being forwarded somewhere else (being tracked)?

I understood that it is on your homescreen, not the message list.

By the way, welcome to the forums.

Thank you for replying and thank you for the welcome! I am a bit confused and antsy because I don't understand what this symbol means and I have spent the past 3 hours or so trying to find some answers, but with no results. I went into the Advanced Options and checked, every thing is checked (so I'm assuming everything is already accepted). I just got another text message and the icon came up as a layered envelope again (I shut down, did a battery pull as well).

What happens when you go into

Options -> Advanced -> Service Books

You should see one entry that looks different - you scroll to in, click the wheel and select accept.

When I went into Options, Advanced Options, Service Book: I see a list of different items (ie: Desktop [BroswerConfig], Desktop [SYNC], Desktop [CMME], etc) and all those items have a check mark next to them... is that what I am supposed to see? Or is there something else I need to be looking for or accessing?

If it is a Service Book, one will not have a check mark.

When I go into the Service Book, all of them have a check mark. Any other ideas? I just want to know what the double envelope notification means... (ie: does this indicate that my messages are being forwarded/duplicated to somewhere?)

In the past it has ALWAYS been a Service Book and has nothing to do with messages.

I guess I will call tech support tomorrow and find out what it is. I was just curious since I didn't change anything on my phone and all of a sudden, the icon changed and it's different now. Also, this is a work phone and they had an issue with me the other day and mentioned something about pulling the detailed billing to see why my texting was over the limit, so I thought they may have activated a tracking feature so that every text message gets forwarded to them as well for logging purposes.
