BB 8320 PocketMac SyncManager Please Help!
 

Hi Folks. I have just received my BB 8320 from Orange and after 24hrs cannot get PocketMac Sync Manager to work.
I was specifically interested in this as the BB site specifically notes:
"PocketMac for BlackBerry allows Macintosh users to synchronize the following Mac and third-party personal information management (PIM) items:
*
Microsoft® Entourage® Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, and Notes"

Also since uploading and activating the software from the disk I received with the blessed think I now have a message coming up on my BB8320 which says:
"A Media Card has been inserted that contains errors. To correct the errors please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer"!!!!!! I cannot see the BB on my Mac so even if I had a error-checking utility, how would I use it.

First suggestion, try Missing Sync for BlackBerry. It's $40 (30 day trial) but well worth it and seems to be better thought out then PocketMac. Second option, do you use an Intel based Mac? If so I run Parallels myself with WIN XP, Outlook and Desktop Manager for sync, install etc. and I works with ease. With regards to your media card you should be able to launch Disc Utility Applications --> Utilities and reformat the card.

Did you try formatting the card with the "format card" option in Options >Media Card?
