Seems that Good is in the same boat as RIM
Good Technology hit with wireless e-mail patent suit
http://news.com.com/Good+Technology+...l?tag=nefd.top I seem to remember Good doing a license deal with NTP a couple of years ago. I guess that didnt pan out. |
We did license from NTP. This is driven by Visto.

There goes that marketing plan (scare everyone into buying Good because RIM is being sued and will be shut down).
|
Unbelievable!!
|
Stupid question - is this the same as GoodLink?
|
Good Technology is the company; Goodlink is a product of theirs.
|
Lovely. And what, praytell, does NTP plan to DO with all of this technology if Hell freezes over and they acctually succeed in their greedy qwest? Bunch of blood sucking lawyers.....
|
Saw this today in addition to your Visto article. These guys just don't know when to quit. Don't they have enought to worry about know since going after Good? They need to "F-Off" in regards to the Blackberry NTP suit.

As Gordon Gecko would say..."Greed is Good"
Next thing you know they will want to sue the post office because they push the mail into your mail box. |
Nobody wants to post pricing information , have you noticed??? except RIM. Our upper management wants pricing for an alternative to our BES, it's virtually impossible to get pricing unless you fill out a one page information request!! Visto directs you to your carrier.. we have multiple carriers!! Good needs an application filled out. I just need base line costs people, just enough to appease the top dogs until NTP finds another victim.
|
Man I can't believe that Visto sent in that note to the Courts. Won't they look stupid when NTP is found to have no valid patents. They will be the guys who tried to really stick it to RIM by advertising to the court that there were alternatives to BB. I hope it comes back to bite them like it will to NTP.

umm, I'm curious what kind of crack Visto is smoking? Are they honestly looking at going out of business? First they take on Microsoft, and now they are taking on Good Technology. The reason the latter is such an off-the-wall suit is because, as Good_Guy mentioned, Good Technology licensed the same damn patents from NTP for their product! NTP owns a stake in Good Technology, just as it does with Visto. That is freakin absurd!
Nevermind, the patents are actually owned by Visto. |
