Carrier 7?
I have a few users overseas and in Asia that are having difficulty activating. Our BES is in the US, I noticed in the account properties that the carrier is listed as 7, usually I would see ATT or Verizon with our US users. The users in question are on Tango in Luxembourg and Airtel India. They go through the enterprise activation and all looks well, but they cannot send mail from the device; only receive. When I check the accounts they show a bunch of failed messages that could not be sent. My BES is 4.1.5.26. They all confirm to me they have correct data package on the account and have strong EDGE signal. Any ideas?
Thanks for any advice |
If you are on Exchange, do they have the besadmin send as rights set? If not, give the rights then check back in 30 minutes or so and verify the rights are still there. Higher level accounts get the right removed as part of a Microsoft "feature."

for the 7, you can update the vendor.xml file on the BES and might give a better description of the carrier.

or ask user...

I think you have 2 separate issues here, but this link will explain how to update the missing carriers
