My WAP Site; FREE Blackberry Ringtones, Wallpapers, Games, Link
 

Hey everyone, I made my very own Blackberry wap site. It is a little receptice for ringtones, wallpapers, links, and games.

I just sratde this, and its my first WAP site so dont be to harsh, but please, enjoy, and if you have any comments or suggestions, I'd love to hear it.

Just optn that address in your BB web browser.

I have everything up EXCEPT for the games. Im still mastering how to do OTA downloads. The JAD files keep showing up as text and i cant download anything. Any tip in that department would be appreciated.

to do OTA downloads just create a text file and insert this text
AddType text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor jad
AddType application/java-archive jar
then copy it over to your webserver and rename it to .htaccess
you will then no longer have text of the JAD File

OK, I created the file and uploaded it with WS-FTP to my server. Weird thing is after I upload it, it never shows up in the file list. Anyways, works well, so I will have a games, and then applications, section up soon.

Chris- wallpaper size question
 

When I downloaded the wallpapers they all seems to be thumbnail size. Any thoughts on what I did wrong. I thought I had clicked on full size or whatever the BB menu is first.

I have all the wallpapers thumbnailed, for downloading itme, and they link directley to the pictures. Make sure you are using "Get Link" on each pic.

On a sidenote, I have the pictures formatted for the standard BB screen size, not the Charm size, which from your sig looks like what you have. I think im going to work on a charm-specific section.


BTW Guys, the Games section is now up and running. Thanks again to Entropy666. I couldnt have dont it without your help.

I just tried to download some games, and none of them will download. They give me a jad download error.

I have a BB 7290, running OS 4.0.

I figured out what was wrong. ALl the games should be working now. If anyone could post up here other than myself id its working or onot it would be appreciated.

nope... doesn't work, i still get a "907 invalid jar" error. I'm gonna try later when I'm in a better area where I can get a stronger signal, maybe that will work. I"ll let you know.

OK... i've been trying all day, and cann't get any of the games to download. Has anyone else had the same troubles?

I was getting that same error Friday, but today everything downloaded perfectly. Thanks for fixing whatever the problem was. I see big things coming from you in the future.

how do I save the file as wallpaper/ring tone?
