Updating OS wont work
 

Hello,
I'm trying to update my Curve 8900 from system 4 to 5 and it's like frozen on "Connecting to boot ROM" and seems not to be working for the last 30 minutes... What am I supposed to do? DO I have to leave it connected? For how long?
In case it won't do it, what can I do?

Yeah, connecting to bootrom means that your DM is trying to connect to the phone's bootloader.

you can unplug the phone, restart your computer (and make sure you close desktop manager at startup). open task manager to make sure it's really gone, too.

then use loader.exe to do the upgrade.

if that doesnt wok, look for how to launch loader.exe with the /nojvm command line option.
