Internet?
 

I got a new phone from my friends work. It was locked as a work phone so we did a wipe and now all the features are available..
The phone is a 9300 and it works apart from internet.

I've paid for internet on my phone, the browser icon doesn't appear on the phone at all and when i go into the app world it says ''blackberry app world is having trouble connecting to the blackberry app world server. verify your network connections and try again.'

I've already done a diagnostics test and sent error reports. The data services are on. When i go into Service Status it says my blacberry internet service is not connected.

You need a BlackBerry Data Plan to get data services like the internet, BB app world, email, etc. A generic carrier data plan that works for regular smartphones will NOT work for a BlackBerry.

As said above, call giffgaff and have then add the Blackberry dataplan to your account and send the correct service books.

Although they support the Blackberry, there is no indication of a Blackberry data plan available. the Blog responses suggest users get an O2 BB plan added because O2 is the base provider. Unless they keep it a secret the plans offered do not state BB.

Did you even read the thread before posting?

Well , atleast one problem was solved --- the missing browser icon means the OS has corrupted files , so re-installing the OS could work

I think the browser is on holiday and will stay away until a proper BlackBerry Data Plan is added.
