The only good Blackberry....

I love phones that dial in my pocket and use up all my credits.

So here is the result.

Goodbye Blackberry...forever....

I hate phones that don't transfer address books back to SIM....

z80 10-31-2008 05:31 AM

the battery life is woeful with bluetooth

z80 10-31-2008 05:33 AM

Obviously for all those who wish to copy my effort...to get through the display is tricky...

You need a bigger HAMMER

NJBlackBerry 10-31-2008 05:35 AM

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Enjoy your Sidekick.

Good bye.

Wow. You actually took the time to join a forum for a specific device so you could write four posts ranting about that device and telling us you won't ever use it again. Now, that is impressive -- a brilliant use of your time.

A little advice for others like you who may need it: If you want a flip phone buy a flip phone. If you buy a phone with an exposed keypad, you will inevitably hit the buttons and that is how calls are made. If you don't want to do this accidentally, you can either keep the phone in a case of some sort or you can use the keypad lock. Either solution works quite well.

If this is too complicated for you to understand, do not buy a "smart" phone.

My first read of the day and I laughed hard

Use the keyboard lock man ooo put device into standby and the BB will copy to the sim. One at a time.

bigolsparky 10-31-2008 07:08 AM

Why would you use a sim card for contacts? Do you have a computer?

NJBlackBerry 10-31-2008 07:15 AM

And the deleted posts were all crap so he could get to 10 to post his link.
What a waste.

ezrunner 10-31-2008 07:40 AM

he calls it a piece of crap! what do you want from older technology I loved that model

Apparently the OP has decided that all non-flip phones are crap

GOOD bye dude

NJBlackBerry 10-31-2008 07:46 AM

The 8220 is a flip BlackBerry which works well. I'm sure the OP is back to their Sidekick.

juwaack68 10-31-2008 07:47 AM

How truly pathetic. He even took the time to link to a post he did on another forum.

If you don't like it, just go away. We don't need to know you're leaving.

Really.

ezrunner 10-31-2008 07:50 AM

but think of the fun we could have madaam witch....cast a spell upon him

why am I still posting here? Yeah I got on a PC so I could waste my time and see where the link went.................Sounds to me like he got the wrong device

as stated above go play with your sidekick

CureMS 10-31-2008 08:36 AM

Reasons not to cast a spell on him:
1.) people whose phones are smarter than they are need to be pitied
2.) it might bounce off him (more likely slide - sounds slippery) and hurt someone.

What's worse is that I can predict a future where, after much litigation, RIM will be required to provide a warning statement on their boxes "Caution: Contents may make phone calls."

doe4040 10-31-2008 09:48 AM

What an odd fellow.

Obviously doesnt understand the idea behind a key-lock.

Ive handily set my keylock to the left softkey, so its not at all difficult to get to.

Apologies that the screen on your blackberry couldnt slide down to lock the keys for you!

NJBlackBerry 10-31-2008 09:50 AM

It still is never a good idea to irritate the Witch Mod.

juwaack68 10-31-2008 09:57 AM

^^ A good thing to remember ;-)

Nice avatar, by the way, Mr. SAC.

ezrunner 10-31-2008 10:25 AM

Man I'm on wap and can't see the avatar

NJ how do you like the 8220?

doe4040 10-31-2008 11:08 AM

If i irritate my mother she'll get a kitchen knife out of the drawer and wave it at me (jokingly of course) but her name is Julie

Witch Mod, on the other hand, is a much scarier name... god knows what you'd do with the kitchen knife juwaack =P

Johnny909 10-31-2008 01:19 PM

This sounds like a trick or treat thread.
Happy Halloween to all, and to all a good spooky night.

I don't know, this could end up becoming another "chad" thread...

people just dont take the time to do some research and work actively to fix a problem. how can u say a phone wont do something without making an honest attempt to try it???

It seems that some people don't understand that you actually should be smart yourself if you intend to use a smartphone.

The warning label will have to read 'Not recommended for dumb users'.

llcoolam 11-01-2008 02:43 PM

Must be an "ID ten T" error (ID10T) !!!

or a DIM F.O.C error?

Horizon Wireless 11-01-2008 11:13 PM

I have done way worse than this to other devices. I remember a nokia a few years ago when i was at rogers. We had so many returns, me and a guy were going in the back, and whipping them against the brickwall like baseballs. Man, that was fun!!!

ezrunner 11-02-2008 08:43 AM

I hope that isn't a current repair technique

There is a guy with anger issues. I feel really bad for his wife, kids, dog, pet fish, any living thing that comes close to him. Those BBs always came with the nice clips that protected the phone and keys by putting it to sleep anyway

z80 11-06-2008 10:38 PM

Thank you all for your kind words.

How could I possibly know about these complex devices when in my spare time I program microprocessors and design interface circuits :?

Wow..it has a keyboard lock? No kidding....:bb:

As for using the belt buckle clip...well that might be fine for all you yankee doodles who don't shit out of their arse, but out of their mouth....:-(

But for us real men with normal bodily functions the stupid clip thing goes **plonk** down the toilet as you are slipping your pants off to have a crap !

Of course you guys would already know that, cause you all sit down to piss like little girls don't you?

Goodbye, good luck, you're all a delusional bunch.

juwaack68 11-06-2008 10:41 PM

You're still here?

How's the Sidekick?

Arcangel 11-06-2008 11:34 PM

Z80 dude your an asshole, and I don't use profanities often but to come on here talk your crap then attack everyone what the f man go back to the hole you came from!!

wabbit 11-06-2008 11:44 PM

a c 64 is not a microprocessor.

dasunst3r 11-06-2008 11:59 PM

If you want to know, there is a mute button on the top of the device that will effectively lock your keys. Whenever I get a new gadget, I always spend a couple hours going through every single option, learning more about it, and simply experiment with it to "get to know it."

Also, what's a DIM F.O.C. error?
