GREAT Block! We don't have a copy stand to shoot the photos but have tried to show the detail in the image. Copper Plated metal plate tacked to wood block.Vintage letterpress Printer's block. Duck (maybe its a goose) taking flight. The block spots look like dried ink. perhaps some type wash or kerosene would loosen it up enough to brush off.
Block measures about 2" wide x 1 3/8". The block is in good condition (see photos). The block is standard "type high" or .9186". Plate is over 1/8" thick.
The block came from a print shop in Baltimore, MD (E.B.Read). We do not know the vintage of this particular block.Questions? Please ask.Thanks.Ken
