For sale is a LEITZ binocular DIALUX ,brightfield,polarizing and Transmitted PlasDIC microscope in excellent condition.
It has the original 10x Periplan High Eye point eyepieces with rubber eye shields. Both eyepieces are focusable,as are the binocular head\'s \"sockets\".
Flip-top condenser with diaphragm. there is a second diaphragm on the basis,bellow the condenser.
The lamp is a new LED lamp. Its bulb is supposed to last over 50.000. hours,probably more than anyone can use a microscope.
Four objectives: 4x; Leitz 10x ; Leitz 20x; Leitz 40x. All objectives are in excellent condition.
The microscope is equipped with simple polarization. This adds a huge amount of details and colors to the images and reveals details not seen in brightfield.
The microscope is also equipped with a transmitted light PlasDIC system.
It allows the viewer to turn flat colorless transparent samples into the typical three dimensional Nomarski [DIC] images.
This new,super DIC, does not need a DIC condenser for transmitted light observations. There is no need for special and expensive DIC objectives.The DIC or PlasDIC produces images by far better than the Phase method. Images are tri-dimensional,clear and without the annoying halo so characteristic to phase.Full instructions will come with the microscope. [Do not worry. It\'s not complicated.]
The last six images show in fact three images in PlasDIC,then the same images in brightfield. As the samples are clear [no color] and transparent very little can be seen without the DIC.
By adding a vertical illuminator,the buyer may add the PlasDIC Reflected light option without adding any extra PlasDIC elements. That way,the microscope will also be fit for DIC for examination of opaque samples.
NOTE: The camera and the computer are not included. We will,if necessary,provide instructions to help you you install your own.
