Default Modem functionality on 8700c? - 01-26-2006, 06:58 PM

I'm asking on behalf of someone else, but I was just curious about the tethered modem capabilities of the 8700c and whether a) Does it work well? b) Does it work with a PowerBook?

Finally, is Bluetooth disabled in anyway on the 8700c? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Search button......does it even exist anymore?

a. Tethering works great with a PC.
b. No, not yet at least. However, it looks like RIM is starting to support the OS X platform so who knows what will be supported in the future.

Bluetooth is limited, do a search for more information.
